Bachelor Projects
Bachelor projects involve hands-on wet lab experimentation and data analysis. Theoretical and computationally-oriented projects are possible. Projects are available on the websites of the respective laboratories or can be discussed directly with a Principal Investigator. The Bachelor project is carried out in the spring semester (BA6; 12h / week for 14 weeks). It can also be done during the summer preceding BA5 (3-4 weeks full-time; 42h / week).
The Bachelor project can be done in labs in SV (School of Life Sciences). They are available on the websites of SV laboratories or discussed with a potential head of lab.
The Bachelor project can also be done:
- Outside SV in EPFL (projects need to be approved by the section, students need to fill in the corresponding Bachelor project form ‘outside SV in EPFL’)
- Outside EPFL in academia (projects need to be approved by the section, students need to fill in the corresponding Bachelor project form ‘outside EPFL in academia’). Students must find an EPFL mentor (Profs, MER) to supervise and evaluate their project.
- Outside EPFL in industry (the project needs to be approved by the section, students need to fill in the corresponding Bachelor project form ‘outside EPFL in industry’). Students must find an EPFL mentor (Profs, MER) to supervise and evaluate their project.
