Bachelor in Life Sciences Engineering
The Bachelor in Life Sciences Engineering starts with one propaedeutic year followed by a two year Bachelor cycle, for a total of 180 ECTS credits.
The coherent group of courses, mostly mandatory, aims to provide a strong basic training in engineering and life sciences.

Regulations for passing the Bachelor
At the end of the 1st semester of the propaedeutic year, students with a grade average below 3.5 (on a scale of 6) over all the branches of their first block (the polytechnic block) are directed to the full-time Review Course MAN during the 2nd semester. Passing this course allows them to ensure the scientific fundamentals needed are acquired so as to be able to restart the propaedeutic curriculum at the beginning of the following academic year in the best possible way. The “Passerelle” program is available for students who wish to continue with medicine studies at the University of Lausanne (EPFL coordinator, Romain Zufferey, MD, PhD).
